We have journeyed from Prespes Lakesin northwestern Greece to Souda Bay in Crete; from the heroic mountains of Grammos and Vitsi to the unwavering Akronafplia in Nafplio; we have protested against the NATO-US-EU military bases; we have learned about our heroic history, shouted our slogans and sung our songs!

We are here today on the island of the Aegean with the rich militant tradition; on the island of the great and heroic struggles, of the legendary “Go back” slogan in December 1944.

We are here, more strong and more decisive.

We are equipped with the Resolutions of our 21st Congress, which are lighting the way for the struggles of our class, of our people, of the younger generation that has a lot of expectations from the communists.

The work of the 21st Congress of the KKE was successfully completed

The 21st Congress completed its work on 27/06/21 under the anthem of the Internationale, electing the new Central Committee (81 members) and the Central Audit Committee (7 members). The CC in its first meeting unanimously elected Dimitris Koutsoumbas as the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE.

THE ANTI-LABOUR DRAFT BILL MUST BE REPEALED

We will not become slaves in the 21st century! Exploitation cannot be “regulated”, it must be abolished! This was the message of unrelenting struggle conveyed by the mass rally of the KKE in Athens against the anti-labour draft bill that the ND government will introduce to Parliament. Thousands of people demonstrated outside the embassies of Israel and the USA

Solidarity with the Palestinian people! No involvement in imperialist plans!

Thousands of workers that responded to the call of the Greek Committee for International Détente and Peace (EEDYE), trade unions and mass organizations sent a loud anti-imperialist message by demonstrating outside the Ministry of Defence and then marching on the Embassies of Israel and the USA.

The National Meeting of the Students’ Militant Front (MAS) was convened in Athens

Militancy, decisiveness and optimism; these were the elements that characterized the National Meeting of the Students’ Militant Front (MAS) that was convened on Saturday, 24 April 2021 in Athens, in the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens, with the participation of delegates from 66 student unions and 27 student struggle committees from all over the country. Along with the hundreds of participants that attended the meeting, thousands of students participatedin the discussionthrough the live web broadcast.

Militant rallies for the safe reopening of universities

University students’ associations held new militant rallies in Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities on 15/4, sending the message that they are not backing down and will intensify the struggle they have been waging for months. Their main demands include their safe return to universities and the non-implementation of the ND government law, which establishes police forces inside universities.

The problems and the assertion of rights do not stop at the gates of the military camps!

During the week between 5 to 9 April, the KKE and the KNE carried out a nationwide intervention for the rights of the young army conscripts, organizing campaigns to inform the conscripts and the people (military service in Greece is compulsory) as well as holding gatherings outside the camps. Under the responsibility of the government, the camps have been turned into coronavirus “infection bombs”. At the same time, the government plans to increase the military service to 12 months for Ground Forces.
