STATEMENT OF THE PRESS OFFICE OF THE CC OF KNE: Hands off the militant Ahed Tamimi! Free Palestine!

The Communist Youth of Greece denounces the arrest of Ahed Tamimi by the Israeli army and demands her immediate release. The now 22-year-old Palestinian militant became a symbol of the heroic struggle of the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation when the picture of the then teenager Ahed slapping the fully-armed Israeli soldiers travelled around the world, and for that reason she was imprisoned for 8 months by the Israeli state.

It is despicable that the Israeli state is accusing her of “inciting terrorism”, while the terrorist state is drowning the Palestinian people in blood and has turned the Gaza Strip into a children’s graveyard.

We strengthen our solidarity with the Palestinian people! For their right to fight against the occupation, to have a free and independent homeland.

We strengthen the struggle for the disengagement of Greece from the massacre!

No participation in the carnage of Gaza! The peoples shall not be accomplices to the crime!
