Statement by the Press Office of the CC:KNE condemns the unacceptable sentence imposed on conscript An. Stamos

The Communist Youth of Greece condemns the unacceptable sentence imposed on coscript An. Stamos for expressing his support for the farmers' just struggle. More specifiacally the Press Office of the Central Council of KNE, in its statement, notes the following:

"We condemn the unacceptable sentence handed down against conscript Anastasios Stamos—a sentence of 10 days’ disciplinary detention—because he took his stand at the side of the struggling people, expressing his support for the farmers’ just struggle.

This action comes as a continuation of dozens of similar punishments against conscripts who stand on the side of the people in struggle, who raise their heads against our country’s involvement in the war slaughter.

New conscripts have the inalienable right to speak out against our country’s war involvement and to express their solidarity with the people’s struggles—of which they themselves are a part.

No sentence can prevent them!"
