Students continue for the seventh week their great struggle against the bill on private universities, which was submitted to the Parliament on Thursday morning. A bill that launches a full attack on the educational rights of school and university students, devalues the degrees, imposes new terms for further commercialization of the educational process.
During the rally in Athens, students welcomed the march of striking doctors and health workers, who were on strike over the tragic situation in public health, with the slogan "students - workers, one voice, one fist!".
When the head of the students' march arrived in front of the Parliament, the beekeepers from various regions of the country, who were holding a rally the same day to protect their income and the long-standing problems the sector has been facing, greeted the students with applause, creating a unique atmosphere with the thick smoke of their smokers and the horns of their vehicles.
Now, following the submission of the bill, the students are expected to escalate their struggle, with decisions to be taken in the new round of General Assemblies next week, continuing the multi-day occupations in all departments and moving on to new rallies.
They will also participate in the mobilisations on February 28, in the big general strike, the day that marks one year since the crime in Tempe.
