Victory to the struggle of school students, university students and workers! Solidarity with the major international dockworkers’ strike!

We, the Communist Youth Organizations signing this statement, salute the powerful mobilizations of school students, university students and young workers that have been taking place in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Albania and other European countries in recent weeks. They are fighting for education, work and a life that lives up to the potential of the 21st century. The surging rivers of young people filling the streets across Europe inspire optimism and hope. They show that the organized people, through their struggle, can leave their mark on developments.

We denounce the repression unleashed by bourgeois states, which has resulted in injuries to demonstrators, including school students, and thousands of arrests, as well as the attempts to slander these struggles. This confirms that repression, together with efforts at manipulation, is an indispensable complement to anti-people policies.

We, young communists, are at the forefront of these struggles, highlighting that the causes driving young people onto the streets are common. They lie in the EU of monopolies and war preparations, which spends billions on armaments and on boosting the profits of business groups in their competition with rival centres, while dismissing spending on the needs of the people and the youth as “wasteful” and treating it as a “cost”. They lie in the system of exploitation and class barriers, which sacrifices the needs of workers, young people and popular families every day in the interests of a handful of capitalists.

We express our solidarity with the major international dockworkers’ strike on 30 October in more than 100 ports across four continents, which will mark a major milestone in the powerful struggles currently unfolding. We support their struggle for ports for the people and for peace, not bases for imperialists. The dockworkers show the way forward: solidarity and the joint struggle of the peoples, the only way to place real obstacles in the path of the plans of the bourgeois classes, imperialist alliances and their staffs.

We continue! We strengthen our struggle across Europe against our common opponent: capitalism. For the new generation to live as it truly deserves, the only way forward is the struggle to overthrow the womb that gives birth to the dead ends we face: capitalist system. For the society of socialism–communism, the only society that can truly put our lives at the centre by abolishing the exploitation of man by man.

Across Europe, we are making history!

Money for our needs, not for the slaughterhouses of war!
